To manage various portfolios (IPP, LNG, Renewables) within Credit Risk Management for JERA Americas Inc. on a day to day basis.
Position Description
Essential Functions
- Act as the main interface with various commercial teams (IPP, LNG, Renewable) for transaction structuring and approval regarding credit parameters. Perform timely trading exception review and/or sign-off in response to various commercial teams.
- Responsible for negotiating the credit terms in industry standard Master Trading Agreements (ISDAs, NAESBs, EEIs) and non-standard one-off agreements. Train and develop credit analyst with respect to credit parameters within industry standard Master Trading Agreements.
- Ability to understand various commodity types and their inherent risks in order to mitigate potential exposure and reduce risks according to the JERA Americas Credit Policy.
- Responsible for analyzing and interpreting Financial Statements for the purpose of establishing, maintaining, or denying credit. Both a qualitative and quantitative assessment needs to be performed and demonstrated in a thorough written credit review.
- Responsible for the authorized tenors and credit lines for the wholesale portfolio.
- Continually review, monitor and report counterparties creditworthiness and credit exposure and implement necessary collateral enhancements to mitigate credit risks.
- Manage any required credit support (guaranties, letters of credit or cash) outgoing or incoming between counterparties.
- Interpret and report various counterparty stress scenarios to senior management.
- Ability to maintain abreast of current industry news and events. Ability to research current credit events in the marketplace.
- Ability to work well with others, inside and outside of JERA Americas Inc. Timely response to internal and external credit risk enquiries.
- Acts as a team member with all employees of JERA Americas Inc. staff.
- Complies with all JERA Americas Inc. policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Education /Experience
- Four year Accounting or Finance degree is required.
- Ten years wholesale Energy Credit Risk Management experience required with master trading agreement negotiation required.
- Expertise of Excel, Word and Powerpoint software.
- Mastered financial modeling skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strict attention to detail.
- Confidence, initiative, strong analytical skill and work ethic are required.
- Highly motivated, self-sufficient and enthusiastic individual who has strong desire to grow within Credit and the Company.
