Summary

The Master Data Management (MDM) Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining the integrity of our organization’s master data and ensuring accuracy, completeness, and integrity of supplier information within the organization's master data management system. The MDM Specialist will collaborate with various departments to gather, validate, and update data while also identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.

Supplier Data Setup

  • Create and maintain supplier records in the master data management system.

Supplier Vetting and Validation

  • Validate supplier data against external sources or documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Supplier Data Modification

  • Process requests for changes to supplier information, such as contact details, banking information, or ownership structure.
  • Verify the authenticity and accuracy of change requests before making updates in the system.

Data Quality Assurance

  • Implement data cleansing and deduplication processes to maintain data accuracy and consistency.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing data accuracy, efficiency, and standardization.

Other

  • Maintain Approved and Preferred Supplier lists.
  • Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams to support data migration and integration projects.
  • Continuously improve and streamline master data processes to enhance overall data quality and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in data management.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • SAP Master Data Governance or MDM certification.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of master data principles, data governance practices, and data quality management.
  • Proficiency in ERP vendor master data systems, including modules such as SAP ECC, S/4HANA, ARIBA, or other relevant SAP solutions.
