Summary

Summary/Objective

 

The Senior Manager, Project Financial Asset Management will partner with the GM, Project Finance to construct an organization to take full ownership of financial and accounting management services to its constituents and support the Asset Managers overall.

  • Providing leadership and  coaching other Financial Asset Managers (FAM) required to cover all areas of financial asset management.
  • Takes ownership of the financial model and provides short and long-term projections on cashflow and liquidity to the relevant stakeholders
  • Responsible for the overall annual budget process, challenging project spend, and producing the financial plan to owners
  • Coordinates the financial section of monthly operating reports provided to owners which includes standard metrics for liquidity, budget-to-actual variance explanations, and updated forecasts for the balance of year
  • Responsible for all debt reporting and compliance matters and is the single point of contact to lenders and the JAM corporate finance team
  • Familiarity with tax equity partnerships a plus.
  • Interfaces with Owners/Board on all finance-related matters including refinancing recommendations, economic hedge levels, financial results and position, and other industry-related concerns
  • In tandem with the Project Controller, provides Management assertions to external auditors and shares responsibility for the annual audited financial statements
  • Oversees property and casualty insurance program for asset managed entities

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

 

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance, Accounting, or another related field
  • Minimum of ten (15) years of experience in finance, accounting, tax, and financial planning
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in finance, accounting, tax, and financial planning in power industry
  • Knowledge of power generation industry investment and analysis

 

Preferred Education and Additional Eligibility Qualifications

 

  • Master’s Degree in accounting or finance
  • CPA or other designation
  • Strong mathematics and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of renewable tax equity financing structures

  • Ability to create long-term financial models incorporating multi-scenario analysis
  • Highly experienced in wholesale power and electricity market mechanisms across various ISO/RTOs and understands the commodity-risk control framework
  • Exposure to multiple project financings and is very familiar with the mechanisms contained within structured credit agreements
  • Leads annual budget process including negotiating with operators and owners
  • Developing team members
