The Supply Chain Sourcing Specialist, IT is responsible for supporting Supply Chain operations focused primarily on technology solutions, sourcing for the Business, and ensuring Business requirements are achieved. This role will work closely with the function leaders, as well as other key stakeholders to optimize costs, enhance service levels, and support technology initiatives.

Position Description

Essential Functions


  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for IT goods and services in alignment with Business requirements
  • Manage end-to-end procurement process, including creation and management of Requests for Proposals, Quotes, and Information
  • Identify, evaluate, and select IT vendors that meet the Company’s supplier pre-qualifications
  • Build and maintain relationships with key IT suppliers
  • Draft, review, and manage IT procurement contracts
  • Ensure all contracts are aligned with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance and compliance to obligations
  • Oversee contract lifecycle, from initiation to renewal or terminations
  • Conduct cost analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Negotiate pricing and terms to achieve optimal value for the Company
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT procurement and supplier relationships
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness
  • Stay updated on best practices in IT sourcing and procurement
  • Support ICT Project Management team in implantation efforts as needed
  • Other special projects and duties as assigned

  • Strong understanding of IT products, services, emerging technologies, and market dynamics
  • Ability to analyze market data, vendor performance, and procurement metrics to make informed decisions
  • Aptitude for identifying problems and developing effective solutions in procurement processes
  • Strong negotiation and expertise in drafting, reviewing, and managing procurement contracts
  • Skills in building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers
  • Understanding of budgeting and financial principles related to procurement
  • Adaptable to changing market conditions and organizational needs
  • Ability to influence decision-making processes and drive procurement initiatives


Required Education and Experience


  • A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in IT procurement or supply chain sourcing
  • Proven experience in managing RFP processes and vendor negotiations


Preferred Education and Qualifications


  • Professional certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM, CSCP, CIPS, PMP)
  • Knowledge of complex software licensing models and pricing structures
  • Experience with digital transformation projects and cloud-based solutions
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, e-sourcing platforms).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to IT procurement

This role has no direct reports.


Work Environment


This job operates in both a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines and personal protective equipment as may be required during plant visits.


Physical Demands


This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
