Summary
Summary/Objective
The Supply Chain Specialist III-Sr has responsibilities supporting Procurement operations, sourcing for the Business, and ensuring day-to-day Business needs are achieved. This role will work closely with the function leaders, as well as other key stakeholders to ensure prompt processing of purchase orders, collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and develop purchasing strategies to support Company’s operational goals.
Position Description
Essential Functions
- Preparing and processing purchase orders and tracking orders
- Analyzing spend data, identifying cost reduction opportunities and implementing strategies to improve procurement efficiency
- Ensuring quality of purchased services and verifying compliance with company standards and policies.
- Build and maintain procurement dashboard
- Develop and monitor KPIs for key suppliers
- Prepare and issue RFXs, evaluate supplier proposals and prepare bid evaluations in accordance with Company procedures
- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms and conditions with suppliers
- Source and purchase materials and services per specifications provided
- Ensuring contract commitments are met
- Ensure JERA internal contract documents are accurate, current, and well maintained
- Identify opportunities to improve processes
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in procurement role
- SAP / Ariba experience is required
- Strong computer skills, including SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat
- Power BI skills
Preferred Education and Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- BA / BS degree in Supply Chain Management or related discipline
- CPM or equivalent certification
- Minimum of five years of procurement experience in a fast-paced corporate / large scale project environment
- Knowledge of renewables, low carbon technologies, thermal
- Excellent communication skills
- Time management skills
